Below are the referee fitness test standards. If you are a Member Organization/Referee Association and want help running a fitness test for your officials, contact the Coordinator of Referee Development

All referees seeking promotion will be expected to meet the minimum fitness standard for the promotion level. SSA reserves the right to consider referees that have completed one fitness test to the minimum fitness standard.

Outdoor Referee Fitness Test Standards

SSA referees are required to attend one mandatory fitness test per year. Since 2014, the beep test is the preferred method for district referees. However, the Cooper Test is acceptable as well.
