The focus of the FUNdamentals (U7 & U9) workshop is on learning how to develop the ABCs of movement: Agility, Balance, Coordination and speed, while running a practice session that is fun, safe, and keeps children actively engaged.
The FUNdamentals workshop is delivered by two components: (1) Online Theory and (2) On-Field Practical. Once the online theory component of the workshop has been completed, coaches can then sign up for the in-person, on-field practical component. When a coach has completed their online theory component, on-field practical component, and the Make Ethical Decisions training, they will receive the status of Trained Coach (or will be considered In Training if they have not completed all of the components).
Online Theory Duration: Approximately 2-3 hours
On-Field Practical Duration: 2 hours
Fee: $85 (this fee relates only to the courses that SSA delivers; all courses organized by local Member Organizations may be priced differently).
Coaches need to be 16 years of age to register for any coaching workshop.
FUNdamentals workshops require a minimum number of 12 participants.
