The Saskatchewan Soccer Association (SSA) acknowledges the work of SSA takes place on the lands covered by Treaties 2, 4, 5, 6, 8 & 10 the traditional lands of the Cree, Dakota, Dene, Lakota, Nakota, and Saulteaux peoples as well as the homeland of the Metis and is committed to having a board of directors (Board) that is comprised of talented and dedicated directors with diverse lived experiences. As an inclusive Board, the Board welcomes people from all parts of Saskatchewan, inclusive of First Nation and Metis peoples, people of all abilities, professional expertise, sexual orientation, gender identity, race ethnicity, and age.
The Nominations Committee has determined the board is both diverse and skilled, but as a priority seeks to recruit individuals with experience in financial management, government relations & legal expertise.

All individuals with a desire and expertise to make a contribution to the growth of the SSA and soccer in Saskatchewan are welcome to apply to the Board. The primary criterion is a genuine interest and commitment to contributing to the governance of the game for the betterment of the SSA on a provincial level. AN OPEN AND TRANSPARENT RECRUITMENT PROCESS
The SSA Board has developed an open and transparent application and recruitment process. To apply to be on the SSA Board, a candidate must complete the following documents and steps:
Upon completion of the above steps, nominees will be presented to the Board of Directors for approval as part of the slate of candidates for consideration at the 2025 Annual General Meeting (AGM)
The candidates selected by the Board will then provide a brief description of themselves and why they would be good a good addition to the Board. The description provided by the candidate will be included in the AGM package for SSA members to consider.
Members of SSA will then be able to meet the candidates on the Friday before the AGM.
SSA members will vote on the candidates they believe should be elected to the Board during the AGM. Candidates who have been been selected by the Board to be presented to the SSA membership will be required to attend the AGM on Saturday, March 22nd and the board meeting on Sunday, March 23rd in Saskatoon.
