B Licence


The B Licence has two distinct parts: B Licence Part 1 and B Licence Part 2

B Licence Part 1

The aim of the B Licence Part 1 program is to educate the candidates in the practical and theoretical developments in modern soccer, so that they may devise, organize, conduct and evaluate coaching sessions in basic and advanced skills, tactics, strategies and systems of play. Candidates will also better understand and employ the complimentary managerial, medical and coach-related aspects, appropriate to the role of the coach at the beginning through to the competitive level. This is a Pass/Fail course.
 
Pre-Requisites: Certified C Licence or previous holders of Provincial B Licence*; Make Ethical Decisions training & evaluation.
 
*Preceding Provincial B holders must audit the C Licence and retake the B Licence Part 1 before progressing on to the B Licence Part 2.
 
Duration: 40 hours
 
Fee: $600 (includes evaluation fee).
 
Coaches need to be 16 years of age to register for any course.

B Licence Part 2

The B Licence Part 2 deals more in depth with tactics and technical sessions. The coaches are required to attend this 7 day course, which includes performing in tactical and technical sessions, plus coaching two practice sessions and an oral interview. This is a Pass/Fail course.
 
Pre-Requisites: B Licence Part 1; Make Ethical Decisions training & evaluation.
 
Duration: Approximately 40 hours over a 5 or 6 day span (or multiple weekends).
 
Fee: Determined based on location and delivery dates.
 
Coaches need to be 16 years of age to register for any course.
